Nancy O'Dell's career in broadcasting began as a journalist and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach in South Carolina. O'Dell later became a morning news anchor on WCBD TV and acted as an investigative reporter. The articles written by O'Dell in Charleston concerning how Charleston police acted in DUI cases with leniency caused an investigation by State Law Enforcement Division. This investigation led to a more strict instruction for the state's authorities. Ms. O'Dell received the Best Report of the Media Award South Carolina by the Associated Press. In the years following her stay at Charleston, O'Dell worked as an anchor co-host for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and also as an investigative reporter. After that, she was hired by Access Hollywood to work as a weekday and weekend correspondent. In addition to her current work as a lead anchor on Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also an anchor for NBC News' Today and as well to Dateline NBC. She's been a reporter for The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted numerous pre-show arrivals show in preparation for The Emmys And The Golden Globes.
